Correspondence Collection

The Institute, throughout several periods of its existence, channelled time and resources into the location, compilation and classification of Francesc Cambó’s collection of correspondence, in order to further our knowledge with regard to the connections he maintained with some of the most prominent cultural, political and business figures of his era.

The correspondence of any public figure represents a living and valuable source of information but, unfortunately, much of Francesc Cambó’s correspondence was destroyed as a result of the Civil War, a fact that considerably complicated and protracted the undertaking of this task
